As Holiday lights are shining bright across our struggling nation, we have a new hope in our hearts.

A New Year once again approaches, and where it will go or what it will bring, none of us knows for sure.

So many of my friends are facing difficulties, so many of them are struggling and they are never far from my thoughts. When my friends are hurting, I hurt with them.

For my dear friends struggling with the loss of relationships, I wish you new love but even more than that I wish you true love.

For my dear friends who have encountered the betrayal of a loved one, people will all too often let you down, but you still have the choice. Be your own friend, and never allow that friendship to fail.

For my dear friends facing the loss of jobs, it is difficult, I know it is, but I wish you the knowledge that no matter how tough things may seem, this too shall pass.

For my dear friends dealing with the loss of their houses, a house is a house but you still have all of the important ingredients for making a home.

For my dear friends who fear the changes a new year will bring, fear not, this is only the beginning of a new and better life.

For my dear friends confronting illness and health troubles, it is a difficult road but have no fear. You are stronger than you know, and you will overcome.

For the old friends I have loved so very long, you remain in my heart now and always.
